Press in sand seal replaces the empi version if your is worn out. This seal is to be used on cases that have been cut for sand seal rather then the collar method. Must be run with an empi pulley. Includes seal and collar
The Sand Seal prevents debris from penetrating the case at the crankshaft, which normally relies on an oil slinger to keep lubrication in – but does not keep dirt and sand out. This seal fits on all air-cooled VW motors and has an inside diameter of 1.725″ and an outside diameter of 2.26″. Seals sold individually.
